KCBS Contest

The KCBS Contest draws more than 50 traveling professional BBQ teams and judges from all over the country. These teams will mix in with local teams that want to “show their stuff” against the best BBQ teams in the nation.

Hammond is known for many things. Friday, March 27, and Saturday, March 28, 2020, Hammond will also be known as the BBQ capital of the State. This 15th year event will be located in Historic Downtown Hammond. This is a fully sanctioned event in the KCBS 2020 Tour of National BBQ competitions.

This event will draw more than 60+ traveling professional BBQ teams from more than 16 states and judges from all over the country. These teams will be mixed in with local teams that want to “show their stuff” against the best BBQ teams in the nation.

BBQ teams must compete in all four meat categories.

• Pork Ribs

• Pork Shoulder or Boston Butt

• Beef Brisket

• Chicken

Entry for all four meat categories: $300
